i can't believe i haven't blogged in so long!

Goodness! So much to go over! And I don't even have pictures prepared!

Wednesday was the last day of camp with the HHS Junior Hoyas AND my last day of Camp/work for the entire summer! It was a good day (very relaxed and laid back) and I helped the eighth grade team make up a little halftime routine to perform at football games. Katie and I won Rooster on the Roof for the third time... what can I say? We're just that awesome.

After camp, I went back to the Jones residence for a few minutes until I got a call from Caurie who asked if I'd like to go with her to get a tattoo (she would be the one getting the tat, not me). So we met at Lucky Draw Tattoo and Caurie got some work done on a pre-existing tattoo and a little something (in memory of one of her friends that passed away) in the middle of the tattoo. They used hot pink black light ink and I can't wait to see the finished/healed product!

After the tattoo extravaganza, I headed to the gym to do a little working out. I stunted with Jackie (and we did REALLY well) and tumbled with Smoke. I even got to talk to Strappy about Toddlers and Tiaras! She loves that show ("I don't even care about 'em." - Favorite Quote). After the night at the gym, it was time for my favorite Wednesday night activity... So You Think You Can Dance!

Katie, Bird, Kellie, Scott, and I headed over to King and Katie's (although King was out of town) and we ate spaghetti and bread sticks made by Kellie and Bird. I had seconds, naturally. On the show, Kayla was obviously my favorite and I was so annoyed with everything Melissa did. After the show, Katie and I headed upstairs to watch a little TV before going to bed and guess what was on? I Didn't Know I was Pregnant! So we watched that until we fell asleep... but I didn't sleep for long!

At 5:15 a.m. the following morning, my alarm went off and my day began. WAY. TOO. EARLY. But there was a light at the end of the tunnel and my eyes were on the prize! So I hopped in the shower, got ready, and jumped in my car. A quick stop at the gas station and McDonald's and I was on the road! Four hours later, I met my step mom, Susan, right outside of Charlotte. And she had a surprise... my new car! Pictures will be posted at a later date. The trade off was pretty quick and I waved goodbye to Loretta the Jetta (and Susan) as they headed back to Raleigh and I headed to meet Lexi at Charlotte Allstars!

At the gym, I met a lot of girls and a boy named Garrett that cheered on different teams. There was also a set of red head twins who belonged to the woman that worked at the front desk. Their names were Max and Mike and I'd never met a cuter set of twins. I actually took a picture with them on Lexi's camera and I hope they'll be posted on facebook soon! Anyway... at the gym, we all played around on the tumble tracks, trampolines, pits, and floors while marking routines, tumbling, stunting, and just having fun! But all good times must come to an end and I was out the door at one o'clock and back on the road (WITH AIR CONDITIONING!) back to Atlanta.

me with Max and Mike
(I am aware that I am very sweaty... that means I worked hard!)

The drive was long and I got to Stingrays around five thirty. I played around with Yellow and Blue (Youth 4 and Junior 3 teams) and tumbled here and there around the gym. After Katie got off work, we headed to her house for dinner and the follow-up episode of So You Think! Melissa (hallelujah) and Ade were sent home and I wasn't especially sad to see either of them go. Throughout dinner and the show, Katie and I had a heart-to-heart and it was really good to bond, laugh, and even cry.

As of right now, Katie's asleep and I'm well on my way to doing the same. I plan on sleeping in tomorrow and then meeting up with Katy for lunch in Decatur!

Until tomorrow... and expect pictures!

not too special of a tuesday.

My morning process of waking up feeling like I didn't sleep too well and finding the strength to pull the covers off my body was pretty much the same as any other day. My alarm went off at eight and I was no where near ready to get out of bed, but I did. I got ready quickly and snagged a nutri-grain bar as I passed through the kitchen at the Jones residence before heading out the door.

At the gym, it was day two of the Harrison camp and it ran pretty smoothly. I taught dances to the seventh and sixth grades teams and the coaches were very pleased. At lunch, we had pizza from an italian restaurant owned by a girl on the team's parents called Pizano's. And it was so cute. I definitely recommend the chicken basil (i think) pizza!

After camp, I called Christie (one of my all time best friends) and then headed over to her house to hang out for a little bit because she is leaving to go back to school, at the University of Alabama, tomorrow morning. We, including Christie's mom, dad, brother and sister, all went to eat at El Jinete. After dinner, I said my goodbyes to the family (who is more like my second family) and headed to the gym for green practice.

At green practice, I didn't do much other than back spot a couple of full ups and fight with King about which house Cedrick Diggory was in (Hufflepuff, I was right!). After green, I headed back to the Jones house and hung out with Heather, Casey, Emily, and Molly (who had just gotten off babysitting but decided to hang out for a little bit). Molly brought me the sixth Harry Potter book for me to borrow and even a special surprise: A Hufflepuff book mark! I was so excited... and I still am! Molly made a chicken with rice and peas meal and I scarfed down a whole bowl of it. Very yummy.

new newly borrowed book with Hufflepuff bookmark - reppin' my house! Thanks molly (:

As of now, Emily and I just got done marking some routines from last year. We're watching "18 Kids and Counting" on TLC and I plan on going to bed very soon. But of course, I'll read the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince first!

Tomorrow is the last day of my last camp of the summer! I'm hoping to reign supreme once again, with partner Katie, in Rooster on the Roof.

Until tomorrow... but I feel like I'm forgetting something.

just another manic monday.

I did not sleep well last night and I'm kind of nervous that the same thing is going to happen tonight. I woke up around 4:30, 5:45, and 7:15 even though my alarm was set for seven thirty and none of those other times. Needless to say, I was pretty exhausted and a little crabby when I hopped in the shower and began my day. After getting ready, I headed upstairs and made a little lunch for myself. The menu: Turkey & Cheese sandwich on white, baked sour cream & cheddar ruffles, gummy snacks (Dora the Explorer, to be exact), a string cheese, a cow's tail, and a gatorade (BOO GATORS!!). After the preparation was complete, I was off to the gym!

Today marked the beginning of the Harrison Junior Hoyas Cheer Camp (sixth-eight grade). Every team had exactly nineteen girls and Katie's twin sister, Kellie, is the sixth grade coach! The other coaches, who's names I don't quite remember, are super fun and even helped out with learning proper stunting technique. Even some of my favorite Stingray girls, like Tai and Taylor Jay, were at the camp! It's always fun to know the girls you're teaching prior to the first day of camp. The best part of the camp was the pleasant surprise the staff (Katie, Hannah, and myself) received at lunch... Chick-fil-a! The parents of the teams decided to include us when counting how many lunches they would be bringing to camp! So nice.

After camp, I was walking to my car and Caurie pulled up and asked if I wanted to hang out... of course, I said yes! So Caurie, Carter, and I enjoyed a fun day of hanging out at Caurie and Roger's house! We even watched "Twilight." But instead of watching the movie, we mostly talked about how bad of an actress Kristen Stuart is and how awesome "New Moon" is going to be! The best part of the day with Caurie? A NAP! and it was awesome. Time was flying and soon enough, it was time to head back to the gym!

Jackie joined me at the gym during open stunting/tumbling and we worked on some stuff to prepare ourselves for the approaching two-a-days practices. We worked on toss lips, walk ins, and all that other good stuff required to do during band dances at football games. Bria and Stephanie (two other UGA cheerleaders) were there too!

After the stunting shindig was over, I headed back to the Jones residence and enjoyed a Turkey and cheese sandwich (I can't believe I haven't eaten any cereal today!). I had a nice little chat with Casey and Heather about the one and only time they broke up. As they headed to bed, I decided to do the same.

Currently, I'm updating my blog. And I'm pooped. Cross your fingers for some good sleep!

Until tomorrow.

sunday remix!

So I usually start with my morning and work my way through the day chronologically but today, let's try something different, shall we?

In a little bit, I plan on finishing HP (I know, I can't believe I haven't finished yet either!) and immediately afterwords, I will text Emily Collins! After that, I going to watch "Toddlers in Tiaras" somewhere online because I promised Strappy that I would. After that, it's straight to bed! I have work in the morning and I'm already so exhausted.

At Orange/Smoke practice tonight, I started out by getting dressed in my panther costume with fellow panther crew members Scott and Rachel! I even had a tail. I jumped and standing tumbled with Smoke then headed over to Orange to chat with Erica and Strappy. After their practice, Erica and Strappy even got some new Stingray shirts! Yippie!

Before the senior 5 team practices, I was helping out the Youth 4 team, Yellow, because they were missing a back spot. Nothing too exciting, but it was easy because all the girls are so small. After helping with them, I got to do a little flying on King and Andy. My favorite part of the whole day was doing a prep full down (:

Prior to heading back to the gym to help with Yellow, I attended the Green (Junior 5) team pool party with one of their coaches, Brandon. It was super fun to chat and eat with all the moms. There were plenty of cheeseburgers, chips, dips, and beverages available... Heather even made cupcakes!

Before I even knew about the pool party, I was at the gym for Green practice and helped Brandon teach all the flies the proper way to do a full up.

Before heading to the gym, I took a shower. My day started pretty late, around eleven, and I didn't do very much between waking up and going to the gym... of course, I ate some cinnamon toast crunch!

So I bet you're wondering, wasn't Paul going to the lake today? The thing that actually woke me up this morning was a text from Madeline saying that the Lake date was cancelled. I know, I know. I was bummed too.

As of right now, I'm watching my favorite show of all time: "I didn't know I was pregnant!" Nothing gets better than watching this show. I'm actually pretty hungry due to lack of dinner. So I might jump on that before I hit up my reading.

Writing my day backwards might not have been the best idea, but it's kinda new and exciting... right Strappy? Well, my show is over and I'm off to eating then reading then watching "T's &T's!" Until tomorrow.

Oh! I forgot something! I'm working on a list of things I need to buy for my apartment. Here it is so far:

ceiling fan.

toaster.

bedding.

pillows.

picture frames.

TV.

blender.

cups.

lamps.

utensils.

shower curtain.

Let me know, VIA (I know you love that, Taryn) comment, if you can think of anything else!

lake day cancelled.

my plans to go out on the lake today were cancelled due to lack of attendants.

we will now observe a moment of silence.

until later.

scary movie saturday... not so scary.

I woke up this morning around eleven and decided to wallow in my bed for a little bit before actually getting up. Being as it was a saturday, I did not worry about silly things like showering before heading upstairs and enjoying a healthy (or not so healthy) portion of cinnamon toast crunch cereal.

The remainder of the late morning and early afternoon was filled with rigorous activities like watching "America's Next Top Model" and reading a little Harry Potter. After a lunch consisting of a sandwich and some chips, I decided that I needed to do something a little more productive with my life... like watch more TV (while my food digested)!

So around 3:30 or so, I suited up in my running shoes and ipod arm band and went on a run. I jammed out to eleven different cheer mixes while jogging around Burnt Hickory Terrance neighborhood and arrived back at the Jones Residence around four-ish and downed a couple of glasses of water and half of a protein bar.

After a well needed shower, I was back to reading. Then it was time for the night's extravaganzas to begin! I headed down to Atlantic Station to meet Brandon, Justin, and a few new friends for a movie. We saw the 7:30 showing of "The Orphan" and I (not so much the others) thoroughly enjoyed the commentary and comedic responses to the movie from the audience. After the movie, we all parted ways and I headed back to my summer home.

After eating some Broccoli and Chicken Alfredo, I joined Emily in a reading party! I currently have ONE chapter remaining in Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix and I can not wait to finish it in the morning! The first thing I'll do when I finish? Text Emily Collins!

Well, I've got an early day planned for tomorrow: A trip to Lake Allatoona with Madeline and Doug (maybe a few others?)! And at practice tomorrow, I believe I am dressing up as a Panther (:

until tomorrow.

and a p.s./f.y.i. - You don't have to have an account to leave comments. So let's hear what you have to say!

a fun and sun filled friday.

I slept so well last night that I'm taking a deep breath/sigh as I type this sentence. It was amazing. I woke up around ten and had a few pieces of cinnamon raison toast with Caurie and her daughter, Carter, before heading back to the Jones house.

Once I arrived, I had about thirty minutes to get ready before heading off to Six Flags! So around eleven, Molly picked up Emily, Parker, and myself and we moseyed over to Chick-Fil-A to get a good little lunch (and a cheaper lunch when compared to eating at the amusement park). At the restaurant, we met up with Molly's sisters, Kelly and Lauren, who would also be going to Six Flags.

Once we arrived at the park, we waited for a little bit to get tickets. After that, the fun began! We decided to ride Goliath first (as a warm up, of course). The lines for all the rides were pretty long so we only managed to ride Goliath, Batman, the Mind Bender, the Scream Machine, Superman, the Cyclone, and the Scorcher before it was time to head back home. In between rides and while waiting in lines, we all enjoyed playing games, getting to know each other, and we even enjoyed a few coke ICEE drinks (which really helped everyone beat the heat). With all the sun and walking, I was ready to go by the time we got off the last ride.

After exiting the park, we got piled in Lauren's car and headed back to Molly's car that was parked at Chick-Fil-A. Molly, who is now my "girlfriend" (or at least Parker thinks so), dropped the Jones kids and me off at their house. As soon as I was inside and on the couch, I passed out! It was a good little nap until I woke up and realized I was starving! A few chips, a sandwich, and a gatorade later, I was full and went back to relaxing on the couch. Emily and I watched a few episodes of "What Not To Wear" and talked to Heather about her day (Clinton Kelly, you're still my idol).

As of now, Emily and I are stretching and listening to some songs on Youtube. Parker is watching Disney Channel and bickering with Emily. I plan on catching up with Harry P. before I fall asleep tonight. And I'm super duper excited because I have absolutely NO plans that require waking up early tomorrow. Mazel Tov!

Until tomorrow.

white water wonderfulness!

Today started out when my alarm went off at nine, which is quite a lovely change compared to the rest of the week (waking up at a gruesome seven thirty or eight). I took a shower very quickly, wrote a note for Megan and Ryan (they went back home to Illinois today), and headed to White Water to meet up with Heather and the rest of the gang!

On the way to the water park, I got a text from Heather saying she was running a little late (I have to admit though, if I had four kids, I'd be running late too) so I had some free time to enjoy a little HP before they (Heather, Emily, Harrison, Lily, Emily's friend Devan, and babysitter Molly) arrived to meet me in the parking lot. After a little bit of organizing season passes and coupons, we headed into the park!

The towel I used today at the park! Totally reminds me of my favorite radio DJ, Mommy Chula, and Katy's friend Kate (who totally loves The BEAT!)

We set our stuff down near one of the children's play areas and journeyed toward the first attraction of the day, the Runaway River! After that, Devan and I were the only ones courageous enough to take on the Cliffhanger. After a few more rides and trips around the Lazy River, we went back to Heather's car where a lovely picnic was awaiting us. I enjoyed (more like devoured) a turkey and cheese sandwich, a mountain of chips, a bundle of grapes, an apple sauce, a few oreos and a bottle of water.

After lunch Molly, Emily, Devan, and I went back into the park while Heather took the younger two kids back to the house for a nap. I really enjoyed bonding with Molly. She even said I was her new best friend because I braided her hair in the line while waiting for a float to ride the Tornado (which we actually rode twice because it's awesome!). The day at the park rolled around to an end as the clock was racing towards five thirty. Devan had a stunt class to attend at Stingrays at six and I was responsible to teach tumbling classes at the gym beginning at six so it worked out well that Devon could ride with me from White Water to the gym, so she did!

The three tumbling classes flew by and were over in no time (especially the last one with Catherine and Mallory)! So after my duties were complete, I headed to the Jones residence and packed a little stay the night bag because... Caurie invited me to a sleepover!

So as of right now, I'm sitting with Caurie on the couch and we just finished watching some silly youtube videos. I'm 100% exhausted and looking forward to some sleep. Plus, I've got another big day tomorrow... SIX FLAGS!

Until tomorrow. And I can't wait! I'm ready for an exciting and fun filled weekend - hopefully brought to an end with dinner at Erica's on sunday (:

twelve hour work day - day 2 and 3.

UGH. I am so behind with my blogging!

Yesterday (Tuesday), started so early that I think I was crying in my sleep before my alarm went off. However, my duties as a staff member of the Stingray Allstars gave me to power to get out of bed and get ready for another twelve hour day at the gym.

It was the second day of camp with Hillgrove Junior Hawks camp and it went by smoothly teaching dances, motions, cheers, chants, jumps, and a few new games to middle schoolers... well, I guess as smooth as it possibly could. The camp ended at three and tumbling classes began - yippie!

So after helping some (and by some I mean about thirty four thousand) girls flip over themselves, my shoulder was seriously weeping and whining for a break. The end of the day rolled around and after a few stunts with King and Andy, I headed to Zaxby's to pick of food for Heather, Emily, and myself. The Zenzation salad still remains as a major part of my heart. I live for that salad.

Because Casey was out of town (and refuses to take part in such actions), Heather and I watched "A Haunting in Connecticut" and it was SO scary; however, it was also very good. A little crazy and I'm going to admit, I had some trouble falling asleep last night.

After the movie, I went straight to my room and went (slash attempted to) to sleep. It was a struggle; however, the REAL struggle was waking up the following morning knowing that another long work day was ahead of me. But I did. I got up this morning and took a shower, brushed my teeth, washed my face, shampooed my hair, scrubbed by body, etc.

At the gym, it was the final day of camp with Hillgrove! I worked with the eight grade team for most of the day and put together a little routine for the girls to perform during halftime of football games. It was tons of fun and we even had some free time to play some fun games and bond!

After the six hour camp, I was ready for six more hours at the gym (I guess). But then I got a present surprise from Ashley! A bottle of water and some chee-ZITS. So yummy! Thanks Ashley Coffey (said in a northern accent). I spotted back bends, back handsprings, and front walkovers for about 4 hours then stayed for Orange and Smoke practice at the gym. I even got to tumble with Strappy (who I must apologize to because I will not be watching "Toddlers and Tiaras" tonight at 10... but I will watch it later!)! It was really fun to practice and chit-chat with friends like Rachel, Scott, and Aubrey and also, Erica, Alli, Strappy and Brooke.

As of now, I. AM. POOPED. But the show must go on! I'm at Katie and King's house with Katie, King, Bird, Megan, and Ryan (along with their dogs, Jack and Tucker). We are about to enjoy some pizza and SYTYCD! I must go; The pizza just arrived!

Until tomorrow!

And speaking of tomorrow, I'm going to White Water!

twelve hour work day - day 1.

I began my day knowing that I would about to endure one of the longest work days I would ever have but I got out of bed and continued my routine of getting ready nonetheless.

I arrived at work and eight thirty (after stopping at the bank, gas station, and Publix) to find that the gym was locked. No fear! The cleaning man was there and opened the door for us. Today marked the beginning of a three day journey to cheerleading perfection with the Hillgrove High School junior Hawks cheerleading teams (sixth, seventh, and eighth grade). We taught the basics, played a few games, had a few laughs, etc. Kennesaw Mountain High School was also there and I got to see Strappy!

At three, the tumbling classes began and lasted through the rest of the evening until I was released from my coaching duties (for a little bit) around six thirty or so and enjoyed some animal crackers with avid blog reader and friend, Ashley Coffey! Thanks for those, by the way! After helping Emily Jones with her running and standing tumbling, I waited around for open gym to start at nine.

So nine rolled around quickly and I was joined at the gym by Erica, Zack, Brantley, Mallory, and loads of other fun people to take part in stunting, tumbling, jumps, and an all around good time just being with my friends.

After open gym, I headed to the Jones house and enjoyed two healthy portions of spaghetti (a work that Brittany Cain taught me how to correctly spell) while hanging out with Emily and Parker Jones and Parker's friend, Ryan. After that, I headed down to my computer to check my e-mail because I got a text from my dad earlier today saying to check my e-mail and...

MY DAD GOT ME A CAR!!
(and the air conditioning works = bonus pointz!)

So obviously my life is taking a turn for the better in the department of transportation! hooray! So that's very exciting and I can't wait to receive the new vehicle (currently in Raleigh, North Carolina at my dad's house)! so excited. seriously.

So that made my night (times a hundred million) and I'm going to bed because another twelve hour day at the Stingray Allstars is coming my way!

until tomorrow!

sunday recapitation.

Fast forward from friday morning to sunday morning and don't ask questions.

This morning, I got to spend some time with one of my best friends, Sarah Klauber in Athens. Afterwords, I helped Zack (best friend and room mate for 2009-2010 school year) move out of his current house which including moving loading a dresser into the trunk of his mom's super trendy volvo and tying a mattress and box springs to the top of the car. We looked to cool driving down 316.

Zack dropped me off at my car and I headed to Casey's house to change and grab a snack before turning around and heading back to the gym to practice with Orange (Small Senior 5). I got to chat with Strappy about the latest blogs in between working on drive rolls, front walkovers, bounders, and one to fulls. After that, I stayed around to watch Smoke (Large Senior Limited Coed 5) work on some stunts.

Back at the Jones residence, Casey had picked up chinese food on the way home! We enjoyed a large helping of chicken and broccoli on steamed rice. Very yummy. After dinner, Emily (Casey and Heather's oldest child) enjoyed some reading while Casey watched the Tour de France (I thought about you, Taryn).

Currently, I'm semi-dreading working a 12 hour day tomorrow at Stingrays... but also very excited about making some bank!

Until tomorrow.

athens weekend!

there are words. the end.

thursday re-cap... and friday so far!

I am seriously slacking with this whole blog thing!

So yesterday, I woke up at exactly 6:59 a.m. ONE minute before my alarm went off. I showered, picked out a nice outfit, gathered by things and I was off to the courthouse. Luckily, I had HP to distract me from the nerves of the courtroom, the judge, and some shady lookin' folk sitting on the benches surrounding me. In the end, I had no reason to be nervous anyway! They called my name and I walked up to a left-handed man who said, because I took a defensive driving course at Barber's, I would not get the three points on my license but (sadly) I would still have to pay the one hundred and twenty two dollar ticket. Boo. So I payed the ticket upstairs (and I even ran into a friend, Jennifer, from high school!) and headed to my car.

I got to my car and all the windows were busted in! My ipod, GPS, and radio had all been stolen in the daylight of downtown Marietta! I called the police and they came and filed a report, it was so exhausting. Okay, I'm totally kidding. I felt the need to liven up my blog. My car, other than pre-existing injuries, is fine... kinda.

After leaving the courthouse, it was close to ten and I decided to call Katie (rooster on the roof partner/BFF) and see what she was up to. I was invited over for pancakes and ended up spending the remainder of the morning and afternoon with Katie, King, Megan, and Ryan.

After a short lunch at Chick-Fil-A (IT WAS RYAN'S FIRST TIME EATING THERE!! ...he's from Illinois), Katie headed to work and I headed to Casey's house to do a few things before heading to Stingrays to tumble including a little bit more reading, a short nap, and some well needed relaxation.

At five or so, I headed to Stingrays and hung around while waiting for a tumbling class with Roger (coach) to start. I didn't really learn anything new today, I just brushed up some skills I've had for a while.

At the end of the night, King said he was going to teach me how to do rewinds with another coach named Andy. I thought they were joking (due to the fact that girls usually do rewinds... and pretty much any other skill involving flying) but they were serious! I'm going to post a link to the video (it's on facebook), so if you have a facebook, you should be able to watch it.

After the stunting fun was over, everyone headed to Katie and King's for fun, food, board games and the follow-up episode of "So You Think You Can Dance," where we find out that Randi and Kupono where leaving the show. After all of that was accomplished, It was my bed time! I spent the night on the futon at the Harrison residence. I love my friends (:

As for today, I woke up pretty late for the first time in a long time and ate breakfast with Katie, King, Megan, and Ryan. As they got ready and headed to the pool, I headed back to Casey's to shower and pack a bag for Athens! Zack and I are planning on leaving at four thirty and I am super excited!

Until tomorrow.

workload wednesday.

Although it is now thursday, I must write about my day or should i say... my yesterday?

Last night, I spent the night at Erica's and we enjoyed a movie, food, and all around fun. I decided to try something new, an idea given to me by Erica, to shower at night instead of the following morning before work. And although I thank Erica for her attempt, I did not appreciate the dirty sensation I experienced ALL day. So for future reference, always shower in the morning.

I woke up at eight, ate a bowl of cereal and headed to Stingrays. It was the last day of camp with Creekland and we always try to make the last day the most fun by playing the best and funnest game of all time... Rooster on the Roof! This game is played by breaking everyone up into groups of two and then having two circles (each circle has a member of the partnership) and they travel in different directions (one inside the other) while music is playing. When the music stops, the MC calls out a position or pose for the couple to create. The list of possible poses include: Rooster on the Roof, Little Mermaid, Totem Pole, Bridge Over Water, Knee Stunt, Dead Bug, Baby Sister, Fireman, Do-Si-Do, Titanic, Bunk Beds, Short Stack Breakfast, and Monkey in a Tree... I think that's all of them. The last group to assume the pose is out! The game continues until one couple remains. Naturally, one of my best friends and parter, Katie, and I dominated the campers and won the game! Pictured below is Katie and I doing "Rooster on the Roof" in the office at Stingrays.

After camp, I hung around the gym until about... 9 p.m. Meaning, I spent over twelve hours at the gym. That's out of control. But at least I worked on my backbends!

At one of the practices tonight, my friend (Katie aka. Strappy) said that she had read my blog and after much discussion... I knew she wasn't lying. So Strappy and I talked about cereal, Harry Potter, What Not To Wear, and big words in between our triple toe back tucks and one to fulls. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I also got to see a friend that I cheered with a few years ago, Carleigh, and her ADORABLE daughter named Emma. It was great to catch up with an old friend.

After leaving the gym, I headed to Katie and King's house with a big group (include Bird, Katie's sister, Megan, from Illinois and her boyfriend) to watch my favorite summertime show, So You Think You Can Dance! We enjoyed a variety of pasta dishes with cheese sticks and lemonade before watching the show. Tonight's favorites: Kayla (always) and new boy favorite, Jason. After the show was over, I headed straight back to Casey's house because:
a. I am beyond tired.
b. I have to wake up early... again! Tomorrow is my court date for my wreck (poor Loretta) so I need to be ready for that!

I must go to bed, so I'm even skipping HP tonight. I know, I know, I'm sad too.

Well, until tomorrow.

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

terrific tuesday.

I work up for work this morning at eight and took a quick shower... blah, blah, blah.

work was the same as yesterday but instead of teaching one dance, like yesterday, I taught two. It was pretty uneventful but I always have a good time when Katie is around!

After work, I went back to the Jones residence and took care of some laundry, read some HP, and took a short nap. After all of that, I headed to the gym to do a little tumbling.

Currently at the Levy home with one of my best friends, Erica, I am X-HAUST-TED. We're currently watching Schindler's List and I think I'm going to go to bed pretty earl tonight.

'til tomorrow.

working hard for the money.

Today started WAY too early at a gruesome 7:30 a.m. I walked sluggishly to the bathroom and took a quick shower then continued my daily routine in getting ready.

I had to run by Publix to get lunch for the upcoming work days before getting to Stingrays, my place of employment, by eight thirty. For the next three days, I would be working with Creekland High School's Junior Cheerleading Teams (sixth through eighth grade). About sixty girls were at the camp and the day went by pretty smoothly teaching stunts, jumps, cheers, chants, dances, stretching and even playing a couple round of a game called Ships and Sailors.

After camp, I headed to the Jones' humble abode and picked up my book. About three pages into a new chapter, I was out like a light on the sofa (I guess I was pretty tired). I woke up around six and changed clothes and headed back to the gym for my team, Rust, practice. Zack, future room mate and awesome friend, and I planned a little trip to Athens this weekend... and I'm totally stoked!

After practice, I headed back to my summer "home" and enjoyed some quality time with Heather and her two oldest kids, Emily and Parker. I also enjoyed a bowl of Frosted Flakes.

Pretty exhausted from a long day and preparing for another, I'm going to finish the chapter of HP that I started earlier today and then I hope to catch some serious Zs.

Anyone who is looking for some new tunes to download:
"I Do Not Hook Up" by Kelly Clarkson and "Battlefield" by Jordin Sparks are pretty awesome.

a short and sweet sunday.

After waking up around eleven thirty this morning, my slumber party partner, Mary Frances, and I went for a short breakfast date to Waffle House. I enjoyed a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwhich and side of hashbrowns with cheese. My mom didn't believe me when i said it was only fifty calories!

Shortly after getting back from breakfast, it was time to load up Dan's truck and head back to the ATL. I read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix almost the entire ride back. I am so glad to be rekindling the flame I had in elementary and middle school with the Harry Potter books.

Back at Dan and Katy's place, I took a quick (but revitilazing) shower then headed back to Cobb County. A quick change of clothes at the Jones resisdence and I was headed to Stingrays!

My stunt partner for next year, Jackie, met me at the gym around seven and we brushed up on our stunting skills, off and on for about two hours. As stunting is not my strong point (Jackie doesn't have any weak points), it's definitely something I've been trying to improve on during the summer break. We have another stunt date planned for tomorrow evening.

A quick stop at Zaxby's for a Zensation Salad (the best salad EVER... possibly tied with some of my home made creations at Bolton Dining Commons) and I was headed to the Jones house to dig in and relax for the evening.

One chapter of Harry Potter and then I'm hitting the hay! I've got work in the morning and I can't wait to see one of my best friends, Katie, bright at early at eight thirty!

Until tomorrow.

i'm late!

I can not believe that I didn't post lost night! however, there is a good reason.

Yesterday started out well but early. I was awaken by Dan and told to get ready to go to "The Market." I had no idea what this mysterious location was but I hopped in the shower and threw on some clothes none-the-less. "The Market" ended up being an event held every saturday in Columbus Uptown actually called "The Market Days." Different venders set up booths around the Uptown area and sell things such as jewelry, baked goods, or (like my friend P-Funk) salsa! Katy, my mom, and I frolicked around for a little bit before dropping Katy off at her friend Lauren's house (where Dan and Lauren's boyfriend, James, were waiting).

After a short break at home, my mom and I went on a date... to the Goodwill! I ended up not finding anything but mom left the store with two pairs of tennis shoes. Way to go, mom. Mom and I went through the drive-thru at Chick-fil-a (love) and then went to TJMaxx to check out some bargains but didn't get to stay long due to an appointment for me - a Haircut!

At Salon NG, I got an awesome haircut/trim from Angie. Always fun to catch up and talk about life at UGA with her. And it only took about twenty minutes!

(this photo was taken at a stop light; loretta the jetta was not further injured during this photoshoot. taryn - this is the hair cut PRE gritzy.)

Back at home, I helped Tripp and my mom prepare for tonight's activities - A tailgate/pre-game for a concert across the Chattahoochee in Phenix City, AL. Tripp, who is starting a Barbeque business, had been up since five a.m. preparing all different types of pork to serve that evening. To make the story short... It was amazing and that feeling was unanimous. Thanks Trippy!

Due to the fact I'd never even heard of the band, I decided to opt out of the concert and head home to hang out with one of my all time BFFs, Mary Frances. Mary Frances and I went and got some coffee at Dunkin Donuts, a donut at Golden Donuts, and basically a road trip all around columbus including a stop at a really awesome house that overlooks the river. Mary Frances and I went back to my house and looked through five ENTIRE yearbooks included our third through seventh grade years. Favorite quote of the night from Mary Frances, "SHE WAS MY GIRL!" I laughed so hard when she said that.

The night rolled around to about five in the morning and Mary Frances decided to sleepover! We crashed in the bunk beds downstairs in the play room at my mom's house and slept in until about eleven thirty. Bonus Points!

Until later tonight.

a trip to columbus - day 1.

Friday night is rolling around to an end and it's about that time that I review today's activities...

I woke up at twelve (deep sigh), it was awesome. I ate a bowl of cereal and enjoyed an episode of "What Not To Wear" and then packed a little bag for the weekend in Columbus. A tiny skype conversation with one of by best friends, Taryn (who is currently in France... and SO modern), brightened my day (:

I headed over to Katy and Dan's and took a quick shower. As I got out of the shower, Katy arrived home and I inquired if she'd like to go pick up my jeans but, being the amazing sister that she is, she had already picked them up for me! hooray!

Paper Denim Jeans altered in Decatur for 8 dollars.

Katy and I then ventured to the K-Roger (aka kroger - for all you boring folk) and waited in the pharmacy for a good fifteen minutes and I got a new toothbrush! it's blue.

Dan came home and we (by We, I mean Dan) loaded up the truck (even Roxxi in the back) and began our two hour journey to Columbus. I took a little nap after attemping to read and an interesting (more like bazaar) podcast on Katy's ipod.

At home, my mom's husband, Tripp, had made a pork roast, seasoned potatoes, broccoli, and dinner rolls. YUM-EEE. I ate it all and then some more.

After a short skype conversation with Uncle Harry... Katy, Dan, Tripp, Mom, Roxxi and I are now sitting around the living room and talking about past times and good memories (I guess Roxxi isn't talking much). Nothing better than that.

Until tomorrow.

A day with (some of) the Jones family.

Today started better than most at a healthy 11:50 a.m. Let that soak in for a while.

After laying out and being boring for a little while, I ventured upstairs and enjoyed a bowl of Frosted Flakes while enjoying an episode of "What Not to Wear" (Dear Clinton Kelly, you're my idol). After letting that digest for a little while, I began on an epic journey.

It all started by heading downstairs and putting on my running shoes. Ipod was set to a cheer music playlist and I was off. I wouldn't quite call it a 'run' but it was a fifteen minute jog. And it felt very nice to get my blood pumping a little faster. After the jog, I took a bath/shower in warmish water and enjoyed some tunes on my macbook.

The day continued with a little bit of texting one of my best friends, Lauren, about one of our mutual favorite shows "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." After talking about how trashy Danielle is, Lauren tempted me into some reading. One chapter of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix I was getting a little bored.

I heard some footsteps upstairs as I was putting on some clothes. I headed upstairs and found Heather with Harrison and Lily along with one of Heather's friends, Welsey (who is super fun), and her two children, Sula and Walker. I spent the remainder of the day playing and chatting with the two women and their children. After dinner at La Parilla in Kennesaw, Heather, her kids, and I headed back to their house.

Currently, Lily and Harrison are sleeping as Heather and I are watching some Adam Sandler film, Zohan, which we have both decided is not very good or funny.

Until tomorrow.

a summer day.

Today started out about the same as yesterday, waking up way too early! I met one of my best friends and art major, Rachel, who treated me to breakfast at a cute little restaurant in downtown Decatur called Sweet Melissa's. I enjoyed the basic breakfast complete with scrambled eggs, cheese grits, and a fruit cup. Very delish! After seeing Rachel's house (adorable!), I headed back to Kennesaw because Rachel was leaving for work at Anthropologie.

After a warm car ride (due to no air conditioning in the jetta), I was back at the Jones' residence and decided to have some alone time including a nap, a few episodes of varying shows on TLC, and some chips.

Heather arrived home with the two youngest of her kids, Lily and Harrison, and I enjoyed spending some time chatting and wrestling with the two little monsters (they're actually very sweet). After Harrison accidentally called mom when playing with my phone, I decided to change clothes and head to Stingrays for some practice. I worked on triple-toe backs, running tumbling, and even got to back spot a little with one of the teams at the gym.

When leaving the gym, I made plans with friend and co-worker Katie and her husband King to go to their house with another friend, Bird, and watch the episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" that aired earlier that evening (Go DVR!). After a quick drive through at Zaxby's, I was on my way to the Harrison Household with my Zansation Salad (UH-mazing). I exchanged greetings with Jack and Tucker, King and Katie's dogs, and the show began! Kayla is definitely a favorite contestant but I enjoyed a lot of tonight's performances.

Currently back at the Jones' House, I'm pooped! Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow... or should i say today? and I need to go for a run!

a favorite hobby: hanging out with Katy!

I've been having trouble sleeping lately. So last night, late into the evening, I was doing a little bit of facebook stalking and chatting back and forth with my older sister, Katy. After some planning, we decided to meet up around ten a.m. and continue our day from there!

I woke up around nine (not my favorite part of the day) and grabbed my bag and hopped in the car! An hour later (and a pit stop at Stingray Allstars), I arrived at the home of Dan and Katy Mallory in Decatur, Georgia and lounged around a while with Katy before showering and heading out for the day. The day started with a trip to the dry-clearner and the Greatlands Target. No purchases quite yet for me.

Lunch was back at the Mallory's. Katy had a tofu quesadilla while I enjoyed almost all of a lovely meat lovers pizza. Then we were back on the road!

The tailor and the Goodwill were conveniently located in the same shopping center. I tried on some pants I've had for about 6 months (way too long) at the alteration shop and then Katy and I continued on our way to our favorite store (tied with Last Chance)... Goodwill! I scored some rocking white jeans and Katy found a top.

One of the last adventures for the day was to Your Dekalb Farmer's Market, a place I hold close to my heart. I had been looking forward to my favorite YDFM treat, chocolate covered gummy bears, all day. It would be just my luck that they would be all out! Katy helped with the pain and disappointment by getting a banana strawberry smoothie for me (thanks katya). After getting a few things off one of Katy's crazy lists (and a quick look at the live fish and crabs) we headed out of the farmer's market and back to the house!

A quick pit-stop at Sunny's Alterations to pick up Katy's belt and we were back at the house and ready to start dinner. I helped by sitting on the couch (aka. I didn't help) while Katy prepared a lovely meal of grilled cheese with fresh sliced turkey and a side of soup. So yum!

The sun set and Dan headed to sleep. Roxxi (Dan and Katy's dog), Katy, And I are currently watching The Little Couple on TLC and enjoying each other's company.

As time progresses, I'll get into adding pictures, links, and try to use less parenthesi.

Until next time.

p.s. Katy, you can only correct my english/grammar if it's absolutely necessary. I think I'm good on spelling.
p.s.s. Katy just taught me how to put in pictures and links!

a blogger is born.

I decided to start a blog today. I think a blog is a fun way to express feelings, tell stories, update others, and keep a tally on one's life. So here I am, a blogger.
